The ACL Lab @ SCIENCED Athletics
Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction (ACLR) is one of the most common surgeries in sport. Unfortunately, there is a high prevalence of re-injury for youth athletes after surgical re-construction. This is especially true when returning to sports that involve cutting, jumping, and fast changes of direction like soccer, basketball, rugby and volleyball.
At the ACL Lab we aim to improve return to sport outcomes by providing an objective, research guided and data informed assessment to direct individual rehabilitation priorities through your ACL rehabilitation and return to sport.
Why have an assessment?
The ACL Lab @ SCIENCED Athletics provides detailed biomechanical analysis of your level of function as you progress through ACL rehabilitation.
We utilize biomechanical analyses using force plates, inertial sensors and dynamometers to reliably assess how your rehabilitation is going.
Our sport scientists will provide a detailed report to you, your surgeon and physiotherapist to ensure that your rehabilitation can be tailored to your individual needs.
